Hello and welcome to the Peaceful, Easy, Feeling Cabin in Skylake. I hope your stay will be full of wonderful experiences. This cozy cabin is located in a beautiful wooded community where deer walk daily through the yard and sometimes “camp out” under the front porch. Skylake has many things to do. There are hiking trails, the pool and tennis courts, canoes available to explore the lake, and a beautiful picnic area (York Falls) all located within the property and all for your use at no charge.

In addition to all that Skylake has to offer, this entire area, whether the old world charm of Helen, the beauty of Unicoi, or side trips to other places such as Tallulah Falls, Mark of the Potter, Brass Town Bald (highest spot in Georgia), or Babyland General Hospital (Home of the “Cabbage Patch” kids) are all within a short drive from here. The area has some of the finest trout streams in the country. There are beautiful lakes and golf courses again within a short drive.

Since 1990 I have owned this cabin and it is full of wonderful memories. It is the perfect getaway from “the city life”. It is peaceful here. Just listening to the birds, watching deer and squirrels play in the yard or looking up at the sky and seeing all the stars (especially in the winter) it’s easy to forget the hustle and bustle of the modern world. Its easy here, you can do as little or as much as you want. This simple cabin has all you need and Skylake has enough to do that you don’t need to leave unless you choose to. The area has so many wonderful places to explore.

The cabin has all you should need to make this a pleasant stay. Enjoy it all but please be considerate, especially when using electricity. My neighbors have asked me to explain to my guests that they should not leave outdoor lights on when not outdoors. You are in a very safe community and there is no reason to “light up the night”. Because it is so quiet, remember that noise goes a lot further here. Please do your part to so that you blend into this community.

Tier Pricing Applies – The longer you stay, the better the price

Weekly rates are greatly discounted – Divide the cost and expenses of your rental with a friend or family member

Rates do not include Sales and Lodging Tax (13%)
Rates when booking online will not show your cleaning fee. Cleaning fees are added at the time of the confirmation letter and acceptance of your rental submission – 13% sales tax is applied to cleaning fees in the state of Georgia
Currency – Rates are shown in U.S. Dollars
NO PETS (Unless special approval is given by management)
NO SMOKING (Outside Only)
Due to high decks and steps, children must have adult supervision at all times (Security Gates provided for steps without doors)
21-Day cancellation period required
21-Day cancellation period is applied automatically if your reservation is made less than 21 days of arrival. You will lose your deposit is reservation is cancelled.
If reservation is made online a 50% deposit is automatically taken at the time if booking. Balance Due will be collected the day of check-In.
No outdoor Fire Pit on property (fire pits are not recommended for mountain top cabins)
Firewood not supplied with rental – Can be purchased at check-in or pre-ordered for delivery
